LOS ANGELES (AP) — It’s almost time to give the Academy Awards a big hand. OK, maybe we should rephrase that. A year after Will Smith strode on stage at the Dolby Theatre and slapped Chris Rock in the face, the Oscars will reconvene Sunday for a ceremony that will try to move past one of the most infamous moments in Academy Awards history. The telecast from the Dolby in Los Angeles begins at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. The broadcast can be streamed with a subscription to Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV and Fubo TV. SAN MATEO COUNTY, Calif. (KRON) -- Three suspects were arrested Saturday morning in connection to 48 car burglaries across Millbrae, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office (SMCSO) said in a press release. Throughout that morning, authorities received reports of about 48 cars being burglarized in the city. SAN DIEGO -- San Diego is experiencing one of the top 17 wettest years on record, with more than four inches of rain above normal levels.“The rain is good, the precipitation is good and it’s really helping us get out of a drought," Chris Robbins with the Vallecitos Water District said.“We’ve had three consecutive dry years, and this water year, which started October 1, has been a really fantastic water year. SAN DIEGO -- Clocks are springing forward Sunday at 2 a.m. for the start of daylight saving time (DST). However, health experts continue to weigh in on the impacts. There has also been a measure, Proposition 7, that changes the way we observe DST, but no change has been made in the state.Gayle and Bob Lidell, visiting from Las Vegas, says they are "not happy about it" while others like Elizabeth Oreck, visiting from Los Angeles, "could not love it more."The start of DST means later sunsets.“It’s worth losing an hour of sleep for,” Oreck added.Derek Sariol, from San Diego, said “gets a little annoying, doing it every year go forward and backward.”When DST ends, it's then standard time.
